Our events combine insightful technical presentations from our partners, the opportunity to socialise with other industry experts over a good lunch, and often the chance to enjoy a blockbuster movie. For our last event, we took over the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for the second time, this occasion was extra special as we introduced customers to the significant transformation in our company’s branding strategy. The feedback was overwhelming and the presentations covering Ransomware and cyber security really hit home, the day was perfected by an emphatic live screening of England’s world cup win in the presence of ex England international ‘Ledley King’ whom joined us for the remainder of the day.

Previous events including some amazing experiences for our guests, we had an opening day screening of the latest Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker. We did things in true SAXIS style, hiring The Odeon Covent Garden, and we even had a friendly Stormtrooper on hand to meet our guests! Being one of the first companies to host an event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gave our guests a real exclusive VIP experience. We organised for Spurs and England legend Clive Allen to be our special guest speaker – he kept us entertained with tales of how football has changed over the years.

Previously we’ve had five-time James Bond film director John Glen, who entertained our guests with his incredible stories from his experiences travelling the world making 007 movies, and legendary stuntman and action director, Vic Armstrong, who regaled us with tales of his many years in the film industry working closely with the likes of Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise and Sylvester Stallone.

Over the last 15 years our events have seen us visit The Ritz, Shepperton and Pinewood Film Studios, Las Vegas, Berlin, Amsterdam, Wembley Stadium and many more iconic locations. With a mix of exclusive customer only and open registration events there’s always a chance to join us and experience what many IT managers and directors have called ‘the best IT events’ they have ever attended. Already, this year has announced a number of new firsts for our customers to experience through our 2023 events. You don’t want to miss out, sign up for our emails, and as well as useful technical insights and updates, we’ll inform you of all our upcoming events.

NetApp & Partners Tech Update

In true SAXIS Live style, we hired The Odeon Covent Garden for an opening day screening of the latest Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker. We had a packed technical programme that educated guests on the latest technologies and plans from the likes of NetApp, Ruckus, Commvault, ProLion and Fujitsu.

As always, we made sure the day was fun and rewarding! We had a friendly Stormtrooper to greet guests, a lunch of pizza and beer and a raffle to win some exciting prizes.

Tech Kick Off

SAXIS Live did something a little bit different from screening a blockbuster movie. Our choice of venue went down well… the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium certainly seemed to impress everybody that attended – both delegates and presenters alike!

The morning sessions included some informative and entertaining content from VMware, Dell EMC, Commvault and Ruckus. We then had a good lunch, followed by a very engaging talk from a Spurs & England legend Clive Allen, interviewed by our very own Lee Douglas. A lifelong Spurs fan, this was certainly his favourite part of the day! We finished up with a VIP Tour of the stadium, before convening for drinks in The H Club.  A day to remember for all involved!

NetApp Tech Update

The NetApp Tech Update was the first event to come under the banner of SAXIS Live – a new initiative set-up within SAXIS, to bring to life our philosophy of ‘taking IT seriously but having fun doing it’. We had a fantastic line-up of presenters, which focused on many of the technologies that are at the centre of our customers’ IT strategy.

We were proud to do something a bit different for our guests after the presentations. Attendees had the chance to listen to a special guest speaker – Academy Award-winning stuntman and action director Vic Armstrong, who discussed his amazing 50 year career in the film industry. We then hosted an exclusive screening of ‘Captain Marvel‘ in the John Barry Theatre.

Dell Technologies World Update

For this event we welcomed guests for the first time to Shepperton Film Studios, where iconic movies such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner and more recent films like Guardians of the Galaxy have all been filmed.

On the day, Dell EMC showcased all the latest updates to their Server, Networking, Storage, HCI, Data-Protection and Cloud-integrated solutions. After a 2-Course meal in the studio’s beautiful conservatory, our guests were treated to an exclusive screening of ‘Venom’ in the Korda Theatre. The theatre is used by production companies for sound mixing using the latest Dolby Atmos technology and proved to be a great cinematic experience for all.

Fujitsu & Partners Blockbuster Event

Our event at Pinewood Studios showcased the latest Fujitsu data centre technologies, with discussions on their industry-leading servers and ready-to-run integrated solutions. Commvault also presented their Data Protection and GDPR compliance ‘Sensitive Data Governance’ solution.

Fortunately the warm weather and sunshine held out for us to host a BBQ in the Pinewood Gardens, followed by a private screening of ‘Deadpool 2’ in the John Barry theatre.

Tech Showcase Kick-off

This was the the first SAXIS event to be held at The Brewery in the heart of London’s East End. Our partners at NetApp, Veeam and Commvault showcased a wide range of innovative products from NetApp’s next generation Hybrid Cloud platforms to Commvault’s latest GDPR solutions.

Several of our guests were also lucky enough to win an exclusive 3-Course meal with a number of footballing legends, while the rest were able to watch the England vs. Belgium game on a 100″ TV.

Ritz Experience with NetApp HCI

For this partner event with NetApp, we wanted to do things in style – and I hope you’ll agree that we pulled it off!

In 2017, there was a lot of buzz around HCI – Hyper Converged Infrastructure (as you know). We wanted to talk about the benefits (flexible scalability for workloads, guaranteed performance, and an automated infrastructure), in a stylish, central London venue. So where better that the world famous Ritz?

We treated our guests in a manner appropriate to the venue – and had some great feedback about the event – both from attendees and our partner NetApp!
